  Great local bbq place that I go to.  Tough to get an order in on the weekends but weekdays are easy

  Unfortunately this place looks to have closed....the number was disconnected...place is empty with no sign...website taken down as well.

  I don't normally post but felt the need to issue a warning.  I haven't gone to church's since new ownership took over until today. I was sadly disappointed.  1st I called my order in, the woman who answered the phone confirmed my order at least 5 ex's (no exaggeration!) and still got it wrong. I asked for 2 pcs dinners she said they only had 3pc. I don't understand because all you have to do is put 2 pcs of fish in a box. I didn't want to argue so I accepted the 3pcs. I also ordered a 2pcs chicken dinner. She told me all dinners were 12.99 a price but on the website. It says a chicken MEAL  is $5.50 for a wing and a thigh and a leg plus 2 sides and a roll. A 3pc fish should be $8.99. We picked up the food and they only gave us 1 chicken and 1 fish MEAL and it wasn't even ready. We finally got home and tasted the food and it was disgusting.  The coleslaw had a chemical taste and the potato salad was just ok.  The pieces of fish were very small, the taste wasn't bad though. The chicken was the same.  This place by far wasn't what it used to be. If i could give 0 stars I would.  
  I miss the old owners. I was never disappointed when I went there. I wish they would come back!!!!!  They're using old reviews that were deserved when they were awarded to get by.  The dynasty is over!!

  So disappointed. My son had a craving for fried chicken. I had a craving for ribs. We agreed on Church's, one of our favorite places. I started calling to place a take out order. But the line was busy. Called for an hour before deciding to jump in my car and head down and order at the counter.
  
  Couple of guys ahead of me when I arrived. I could not hear what they ordered but I did hear they were in for a forty five minute wait. Uh oh....
  
  When I advised that I had been calling for an hour, the lady behind the counter advised they took the phone off the hook because they were too busy. Seriously??
  
  They were out of ribs and a forty minute wait for four pieces of chicken in ninety degree plus weather did not appeal to me. So I went elsewhere.
  
  Sad.

  Best soul food around.
  Everything is good but especially the fried chicken collard greens and mashed potatoes
